From 0 to 1, and 1 to many. We build it, you own it.

Whether you're a startup building your first product or a team inside a company building the venture that spins out, some builds have no playbook. We build those, from zero to one and one to many, and you own the product and the IP outright.

How we work

The situation

When the thing you're building has never been built, the usual help doesn't fit

You're a founder

You're building your first product, or the next bet you are staking everything on. Agencies build to a spec and hand you a black box, and the spec is the thing you do not have yet. Staff augmentation gives you hands, not the judgement to work out what no one has built before.

You're building inside a company

You're building a new venture, the kind that could one day break out on its own. Internal teams are built to keep the core running, not to build the thing meant to break away from it. It needs to be built clean and separate from the start, so it can spin out when it is ready.

How we work

Most first-of-its-kind builds fail on a wrong assumption, not on features

De-risked

We go at the riskiest unknown first

The most dangerous part of a new build is the one assumption that sinks everything if it is wrong. We prove it or kill it before we build anything else, so we never spend months on a beautiful wrapper for a product no one wants.

  • The one assumption
  • Proved or killed
  • Before anything else

We show real software early

Not a demo and not slides. A thin slice of the real product, running in your real environment, small enough to prove one thing and built as production code rather than a throwaway. We build outward from something that already runs.

You get no surprises

We agree the plan and the milestones up front, and you see real, working progress every two days, or the cadence we agree together. There is no big reveal at the end and no guessing where the time and money are going.

A demo is not ready to scale

Ready means monitoring and alerts are live, rollback works, it is load-tested before real traffic arrives, and there are runbooks and someone on call. We run that as a checklist with your team, not on gut feel.

Scaling is planned, not a rewrite

The early build is made to prove the product, not to carry a million users, and every trade-off we make is written down. When it is time to scale, we harden it in a deliberate pass, replacing pieces under live traffic rather than throwing it out to start again.

Bad fit

We are not for everyone

Some examples of when we might be a bad fit for you.

  1. You are shopping for the lowest day rate
  2. You want a partner who works for equity instead of fees
  3. You have no time to communicate with a PM or an engineer
  4. You expect a finished product overnight

Good fit

Where we are the best fit

If one of these is where you are, this is what we do.

Choose the situation closest to yours

Problem

No one has built the hard part before

Your whole idea rests on one thing no one has built before, and you cannot spend a year and the entire raise finding out if it is even possible. You do not have anyone senior enough to tell you early.

Solution

We prove the hard part first

We take that one unknown and build a thin, working slice of it in your real environment, so you know it works in weeks, before you commit the raise to it.

Problem

The prototype works, and that is the problem

It is live and revenue is flowing, but it is held together with duct tape. Every release breaks something, features that took days now take weeks, and no one wants to touch the core.

Solution

We make it production-grade without stopping the roadmap

We harden it under live traffic, replacing the weak parts piece by piece, so it scales for real users without pausing the roadmap for a six-month rebuild.

Problem

You inherited a black box

You paid an agency or a freelancer, or an AI wrote it, and now you have code no one on your side understands and the people who built it are gone. It passes a demo but breaks under real use, and you cannot safely change it.

Solution

We take it over and tell you the truth

We audit what you have, stabilise it, and give you an honest read on what to salvage and what to rebuild, no automatic from-scratch quote. Then we build it into the product it was meant to be, fully documented and owned by you, with no black boxes left.

Problem

The core business will never prioritise you

Internal IT treats you as shadow IT, legal wants weeks for every review, and you are competing with the core for every engineer and every scrap of budget. Build it on the parent's systems and you will never get it out cleanly.

Solution

We build it clean and separate, and yours

We build the venture on its own stack, outside the parent's systems, owned by you outright with clear records of who built what and when. So when it is time to spin out, the IP is clean and nothing has to be untangled.

Ownership

You own all of it

Fees, not equity

You own the product and the intellectual property outright. We take fees, not equity.

Not just a line in a contract

That is not just a line in a contract. It is how we build, from the first commit to the handover.

The IP assigns as you pay

The IP is yours as you pay for it, assigned to you in writing, not held back until the end.

Your repositories, your cloud

Your code lives in your repositories and your cloud accounts from day one, never ours.

Documented, and handed over

We document everything and build a clean handover into the plan, so your team can run it without us. No black boxes, no lock-in.

A share of your company is the wrong trade

Some firms build your product in exchange for a share of your company. That is the wrong trade. We would rather be paid for the work and leave the upside with you.

How we engage

One phase at a time, priced before it starts

Start with Proof Week
  1. Proof Week

We prove the riskiest unknown first, a working slice in your real environment.

  2. The Build

We build it into your stack in increments you sign off on, from a working prototype through to production-grade.

  3. Handover

We transfer the code and the IP, deployed on your own infrastructure. All of it is yours, no black boxes.

  4. Ongoing

We keep it live and build the next thing. You still own everything.

Engineering edge,
without hiring a team.

Numbers you can trust, operations that run themselves, all built into your stack and owned by you. Tell us where you want the edge, and we'll build it.

Have a project in mind?

  • Quick response

You'll hear from an engineer the same working day, not a sales sequence.

  • Clear next steps

A short call, then a plan, and we start with Proof Week or a full build.

  • Fixed fee first

A fixed fee agreed before anything starts, for Proof Week or the full build.
